Fundraising
The Junior Woman's Club of Williamsburg, Inc. currently holds four fundraising events each club year. Over 90% of funds raised through these efforts go back to the local community through cash donations to non-profit organizations or through community service projects. JWCW asks that all club members participate in some way to support all major fundraisers each year.
Casino Night
The 5th Annual casino Night, JWCW's Premier fall fundraising event, will be held in Fall 2010 at TowneBank, New Town! Each year the club has chosen one specific local charity and made a sizable donation to that organization. The 2009 recipient was the Rita Welsh Adult Literacy Program. Other past recipients include, Avalon, CHIP of Greater Williamsburg, and the Make A Wish Foundation. The evening is a cocktail attire event with professional Las Vegas style gaming and including food, bar, live music and silent auction. In addition we have experimented with a variety of fun activities including a Purse Auction and a Stock the Bar Raffle. TowneBank is the 2010 Presenting Sponsor. read more

Art on the Square
For over 45 years, Art on the Square has been the most established and financially successful JWCW event. Much like Occasion for the Arts, Art on the Square utilizes Duke of Gloucester and Boundary Streets to showcase artists and to allow the public to walk among booths, viewing and/or purchasing art. The event allows us to donate significant dollars to students pursuing an arts education (visual and performing). Proceeds, through our annual Donations Forum, can also be directed to local non-profit organizations specializing in arts-related projects or whose mission is directly linked to the arts community read more
